Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder, was born on Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her in honor of her hometown. Both her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's father was from an ethnically Jewish family Ryder thinks she's Jewish. The actress is also half-sister to Sunyata Jubal. Ryder's younger sibling is Uria. Ryder as well as her entire family relocated to California's Mendocino County, when Ryder was just seven. They was in a house that didn't have electricity. There was no television books was her only source of entertainment to pass the time. Eventually, she was a voracious reader. Ryder started to take acting classes at American Conservatory Theatre when she was 12 years old. In the year she turned 15, Ryder landed her very first role on screen, in Lucas. Ryder suffered bullying in her high school. Her performing career, she thought that it would aid her. However, it didn't occur. But she continued to chase her goals. In 1988, she received her breakthrough role in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was able to continue her successful parts in a variety of films. There were two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
