Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial artist and songwriter who mixes the soul of gospel and jazz with R&B to create a unique mix. From Broadway to European events and bars, Sunshine has performed anywhere. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Although she is a resident of Atlanta, she originates from Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing as well as playing the piano at church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her musical path in the Atlanta's R&B music scene. The singer also contributed her voice to the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. She was then hired as the keyboardist principal for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls The stage show in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition during four daily performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
