Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the United States. The current president is and controlling shareholder of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is the daughter of a California native who grew in an affluent family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon, and later the proprietor of Lakers and other enterprises. In the event that her parents divorced in 1972, she was convinced that they had abandoned her. She joined her family's business at the age of 19 to become the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. Later, she founded the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team.
